Istec RecipSys 200 – Rod-Drop Monitoring for Compressors
Follow rider-band wear.
Plan maintenance with evidence.
RecipSys 200 uses phase-triggered rod-drop measurements to help you follow rider-band wear in reciprocating compressors. Build the measurement chain around your cylinder configuration and existing instrumentation.

A measurement tied to the compressor cycle
Rod displacement varies during each stroke. RecipSys uses a phase reference to evaluate the displacement signal at a selected crank angle, supporting repeatable wear monitoring at fixed or variable speed.
A module provides two rod-displacement inputs and a phase-trigger input. Additional modules support larger cylinder configurations.
Specify the probes as well as the module
Rod-drop probes
Define the required eddy-current probe system, rod material, measurement range and mounting arrangement.
Phase trigger
Identify the reference sensor and trigger position so the measurement is evaluated at the correct point in the stroke.
Monitoring outputs
Specify your control or monitoring system and required alarm interfaces. RecipSys includes 4–20 mA outputs for integration.
Two different measurements
RecipSys 200 monitors rod drop to assess rider-band wear. VibSys A01 measures vibration through IEPE sensors. Select each for its intended measurement; an accelerometer is not a replacement for a rod-displacement probe.
Build your compressor quotation
Send the compressor model, cylinder count, operating-speed range, existing probe and conditioner details, available phase-reference signal and required outputs. Include the compressor manufacturer's wear limits where available.
MK-Controls Oy will confirm the module configuration, required instrumentation and delivery schedule. Individual modules and larger project quantities can be quoted.
