Vibration Monitoring for Fans & Blowers
Vibration Monitoring for Fans & Blowers
Continuous monitoring of fans and blowers can expose gradual changes caused by contamination, rotor imbalance, bearings, supports and the drive train.
Rotor condition
Build-up, wear and damage can change balance and vibration.
Bearing housings
Stable measurement points support useful long-term bearing and structural trends.
Motor & drive
Couplings, belts, motors and gearboxes can contribute to the measured response.
Practical measurement approach
Select rigid measurement locations and account for speed, process load, damper position and structural resonance when comparing trends.
Use VibSys with the IEPE sensor that fits the job
Istec VibSys A01 is a four-channel platform for scalable vibration condition monitoring. Multiple units can be placed near selected machines as monitoring coverage expands.
Compatible standard 2-wire IEPE accelerometers can be used; VibSys is not locked to Istec sensors. This makes it possible to select sensors around measurement range, frequency response, temperature, environment and plant standards.
VibSys is intended for condition monitoring and diagnostics. Dedicated safety, trip and machinery-protection functions should remain on systems designed for those duties.
