The Micropower PAP802 is a professional-grade 800W switched-mode DC power supply designed for laboratory, industrial testing, battery service and R&D applications.
This version is based on a 48V nominal output system with a rated output current of 15A at 48VDC. Both output voltage and current are continuously adjustable via front panel multi-turn potentiometers, with real-time digital voltage and current display.

Understanding the Power Limitation (800W Max)
The PAP802 is power-limited to 800W maximum output. This defines how voltage and current behave across the adjustment range:
- At 48V DC → full 15A rated current is available.
- When increasing voltage above 48V toward 72V DC, the available current decreases automatically.
- At 72V DC, only a few amperes are available, since total output power cannot exceed 800W.
- If current is set to the maximum 15A, the usable voltage is limited to approximately 48V DC.
This constant-power characteristic is typical for high-efficiency industrial switched-mode power supplies and ensures stable and safe operation.

Installation Notes
